Department of Education Releases List of Schools with High School Graduates Eligible for Higher Education

Senior High School Support Program

June 18, 2024

The Department of Education (DepEd) has released the 2024 Amendment to DepEd Order No. 5425732, which provides a list of schools whose high school graduates are eligible to enroll in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

The amendment aims to empower schools and learning centers to make decisions that are in the best interests of their learners. This includes the ability to determine which students are eligible for higher education.

The list of schools is based on the following criteria:

  • The school's graduation rate
  • The school's average test scores
  • The school's college acceptance rate
  • The school's resources and support services

Schools that meet these criteria are considered to be "high-performing schools." Graduates of high-performing schools are more likely to be successful in college.

The list of schools is available on the DepEd website. Parents and students are encouraged to review the list to determine if their school is included.
